Rashmika's Injury Causes Trouble for Dhanush

Director Sekhar Kammula has been working on the film Kubera for nearly two years. The producers were relieved when he recently hinted at a summer release. However, they now face new challenges.

Rashmika Mandanna injured herself during a workout. Doctors have advised her to avoid film shoots for at least another month. This has disrupted the filming of her scenes.As a result, Kubera will not be released in May as planned. The film is now facing further delays.

Dhanush, the lead actor is reportedly frustrated with these continuous postponements. He has already dedicated more time to this film than he usually does.

Kubera is a bilingual film being made in both Telugu and Tamil. It stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh, and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao under Amigos Creations. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad with cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy and editing by Karthika Srinivas. The film was officially announced in June 2021 under the tentative title D51, as it is Dhanush's 51st film as the leading actor. Principal photography commenced in February 2024 and the official title was announced the following month. It was shot in Hyderabad and Mumbai.

The film was initially scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in December 2024. However due to the recent delays, the release date is now uncertain.
