Box Office: Shocking Hand From Tamil Sinking Kubera!

When director Sekhar Kammula announced Kuberaa with Dhanush and Nagarjuna, the natural expectation was that the film would generate substantial in the Tamil, and also Telugu markets through the two male leads.

The film has now become a monotonous journey with the box office returns entirely coming from the Telugu states with very little support from the Tamil market.

The film has posted abnormally poor numbers in the Tamil market, despite the presence of Dhanush. Even with reasonably good reviews, and it also has its core theme that caters to the Tamil folk, this film could not penetrate into the deeper Tamil markets for strange reasons.

Due to the fact that there has been very little contribution from the Tamil market, this Dhanush film is turning out to be a mediocre film at the box office. It can barely post average numbers at the box office, if you look at the general expectations that were set on it.

Had there been any better contribution from the Tamil market? This film could have been one of the bigger hits in recent times, but that simply wasn�t to be..

However, this film will ultimately prove to be a properly successful venture for the producers as the OTT rides have already been sold for a fancy price, and this will lead them to decent profits.

It is strange to note that the Tamil audience who are generally very receptive of quality films and fine filmmaking attributes did not show much interest in this Dhanush centric social drama.
