Kuberaa is Deepak's story as he carries it forward - Nag

Sekhar Kammula's Kuberaa starring Dhanush, King Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna released yesterday with great anticipation all over. The movie opened to a massive Rs.27 crores plus gross collection worldwide on the first day. Produced by Asian Suniel Narang, Pushkar Rammohan Rao, the movie is receiving great word of mouth all over.

The makers have interacted with the press thrilled by the extremely positive response. Talking to the press, Sekhar Kammula stated that it is hard to understand a film with so many layers and the runtime for Kuberaa is necessary. He further stated that from the first day, he felt the runtime is necessary and hence, edited it so.

He also stated that for those people who expressed that there is lag in the second half, they will understand the intensity in the story and layers that are necessary to touch upon when they watch again. He thanked everyone who watched the film and stated that he believes it as one of the best Telugu Films.

Nagarjuna stated that Kuberaa has been narrated to him as Deepak's story and it is one. He explained that his character has many layers like guilt, helplessness, remorse, selfishness and then sacrificial tendencies. He remarked that other characters don't have such broad spectrum and it is Deepak who runs the show throughout.

He stated that he is never against trying something new, unique as he did Annamayya, Oopiri, Antham kind of films without worrying about image. He remarked that he is happy with the massive response and he is thrilled with the messages he is receiving from everyone including his fans appreciating his performance.

Sekhar Kammula further stated that Kuberaa stands unique among all regular films because of Nagarjuna and Dhanush's performances. He stated that without their honest portrayals, movie would not have happened. Producers clarified that ticket rates have been kept at reasonable prices all over Telugu States with minimal hike in AP.
