Bangalore-based production house KVN Productions is going through a tough phase. They got Big plans, big films, but then too many big delays. While Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is stuck, Yash’s Toxic got postponed, and even Chiranjeevi’s film with Bobby Kolli is not moving as planned. One delay is affecting everything. That brings our attention to their first release of the year, “KD: The Devil”, which is also getting embroiled in a lot of controversies.

While Jana Nayagan and Toxic were supposed to be their first releases, it’s KD: The Devil, featuring Dhruva Sarja and Reeshma Nannaiah in the leads, is hitting cinemas first. The film is set for an April 30th release, but the road to release has not been smooth. First, a song featuring Nora Fatehi landed in major controversy over its lyrics and had to be taken down from YouTube. Now, just one week before release, the trailer itself is removed from YouTube. Reason? It had uncertified content.

The team quickly issued a statement: “We inadvertently included uncertified content in the trailer during the certification process. We have taken it down and will upload a revised version shortly, in line with guidelines. We regret the oversight.”

Damage control is on, but then just a week before the release, this actually hurts. Because honestly, the film is already low on buzz. And these last-minute issues are not helping. Despite having some packed casting like Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Jisshu Sengupta, and Nora Fatehi, “KD: The Devi” is struggling to get attention and a smooth road to release.
