These days, even big-budget films are struggling at the box office. Movies made on 400 crores like Bhade Miya Choote Miya have flopped, earning less than 100 crores. Meanwhile, small films are surprising everyone, the Telugu romantic comedy Baby collected 100 crores despite a modest budget. It shows that content matters more than big stars or flashy budgets.

A similar miracle has happened with the Gujarati film Lalo – Krishna Sada Sahayate. Made on a tiny budget of just Rs. 50 lakhs, the film has already collected more than Rs. 100 crores. This is a record for Gujarati cinema and has turned heads across the industry. Directed by Ankit Sakhiya, the film was produced by National Award winner Manasi Parekh, with Karan Joshi and Reeva Rachh in lead roles, and Shruhad Goswami in a key supporting part.

The film follows Karan Joshi, an auto driver haunted by his past, who meets Lord Krishna and, through friendship and guidance, overcomes his pain, inspiring audiences and driving the film’s success.

With such a huge response, the question now is whether Lalo – Krishna Sada Sahayate will be remade in other languages like Telugu, Tamil, or Malayalam. Only time will tell if this heartwarming story of faith and transformation will inspire similar hits across India.
