The movie “Kalki 2898 AD” has garnered significant attention and surpassed a gross collection of almost ₹1000 crores. Praises have poured in for director Nag Ashwin's vision and Prabhas's performance. However, a controversy has erupted as a religious leader has taken legal action against the film.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, the Kalki Peethadheeshwar of Shri Kalki Dham, has issued a legal notice to the filmmakers. He claims the movie distorts the representation of Hindu gods as described in sacred texts, particularly the depiction of Lord Kalki. According to Acharya Krishnam, the film's portrayal of Lord Kalki contradicts traditional Hindu scriptures, which he argues insults the religious beliefs of many Hindus.

Acharya Krishnam has demanded that the filmmakers address these concerns within 15 days. If they fail to do so, he warns of potential civil and criminal legal action. It remains to be seen how the makers of “Kalki 2898 AD” will respond to these allegations.
