Leo Stashes Unexpected Profits Before Hitting Screens

The frenzy surrounding the film 'Leo' has taken Kollywood by storm, despite the mixed response to its recent trailer release. Starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is set to hit cinemas on October 19. Rumors suggest that 'Leo' might be the most violent movie in Vijay's career.

What's truly remarkable is that 'Leo' has become the most profitable venture for producers in Kollywood, raking in an estimated profit of around 200 Crores. The film's budget was confirmed by the team itself at a whopping 300 Crores, and it has closed business deals worth approximately 500 Crores, a record-breaking achievement.

This success can be attributed to the immense anticipation surrounding the combination of Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay, which has resulted in unprecedented theatrical and non-theatrical business. Even before its release, 'Leo' had already amassed around 200 Crores in profits.

One of the film's standout features is the reunion of Vijay and Trisha after a 15-year hiatus since their last collaboration in 'Kuruvi' (2008). This movie marks Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj's second collaboration following 'Master.'

Additionally, it boasts an impressive cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautam Vasudev Menon, and Sandy, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. 'Leo' is produced by Lalith Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio.
