Lionel Messi Calls Argentina Vs Morocco Controversial Game 'Unbelievable'!

The World Cup and Copa America winners Argentina had an unexpected start to the Paris Olympics. The national football team lost to Morocco on 24th July after equalizing in the 16th minute of the added time. The game however was disrupted by the agitated Moroccan fans who invaded the pitch.

The game was suspended for two hours and the entire stadium was emptied before the players could return. At this point in time, the score was 2-2 but Argentina's goal was disqualified after the game resumed which led to them losing the game by 2-1. Former Barcelona player and current Argentina coach in the Paris Olympics, Javier Mascherano vented his frustration by saying that it was the “biggest circus I have ever seen in my life.”

Argentine superstar Lionel Messi shared a story saying, “Insolito” which means 'Unbelievable'. A lot of Argentina fans are expressing their anger on social media and calling the decision of ruling out the goal an injustice. Since football takes a long time, the competition started on Wednesday even though the Paris Olympics official opening ceremony is on 26th July.

Argentina won the Olympic gold medal in football back in 2004 and 2008. Legends like Messi and Di Maria were a part of the 2008 winning squad.
