Lokesh Says No Link Between Coolie And LCU, But�

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most sought after directors in Indian cinema and his next film Coolie is up for release on the 14th of August. Ahead of the same, Lokesh was asked if Coolie is a part of the famous Lokesh Cinematic Universe and here�s what he had to say about the same.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently spoke about his upcoming movies during a media interaction. He shared interesting updates about Coolie and Vikram 2, which are part of his LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe).

He said that Coolie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, is not connected to Vikram or the LCU. It will be a completely standalone action film. Lokesh revealed that he always wanted to do a stylish gangster film with Rajinikanth, and Coolie will fulfill that dream. The movie will have vintage Rajinikanth style with powerful dialogues and mass moments.

However, fans are still speculating if there�s an actual connection between the world of Coolie and LCU.

As for Vikram 2, Lokesh confirmed that it will definitely happen. He also said that actor Kamal Haasan is ready for the sequel. However, Coolie will be completed first, and then work on Vikram 2 will begin. He also hinted that Kaithi 2, another film from the LCU, is still in the pipeline and will release before Vikram 2.
