After LIK’s Failure, Can Anirudh Save This One?

Gone are the days where films that have Anirudh’s music turned out to be stupendous hits. Similarly, the days when Anirudh’s music used to be a blockbuster even though the film was a flop have also gone. These days, along with Anirudh’s music, the films are also not doing well. The recent example is Love Insurance Kompany, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan and Kriti Shetty in the leads. Neither the music nor the film is a hit. Here comes the litmus test for Anirudh now.

Reportedly, the composer revealed that he’s going to reveal the music of Lokesh Kangaraj’s DC very soon and shared a sample track too. After the release of the trailer the other day, while heroine Wamiqa Gabbi walked away with attention, surely Lokesh hasn’t proved his mettle and screen presence inside it. Later, after the flop show of his directorial movie “Coolie”, many didn’t even look at the DC movie. Now that Anirudh is saying that he’s coming up with the music of the movie, many are wondering if the composer could bring some attention to the project.

Now that both Lokesh Kanagaraj and Anirudh’s recent works haven’t done well, we have to see who will do the real magic to get the film back on track. Though Anirudh’s BGM for DC is good, surely he needs to come up with some interesting songs for the film to make it an interesting project. Otherwise, a bloodshed and love story, a routine theme, isn’t exciting the audience much.
