Why Lokesh Kanagaraj Messing Up LCU Hype?

It is increasingly common for a film makers to build a proper cinematic universe and generate a lot of public anticipation on the same. But here is the case of a Tamil filmmaker who has built a strong cinematic universe, but is messing it all up with his choice of filmmaking.

After the blockbuster success of films like Khaithi, Vikram and others, there was a lot of anticipation on Lokesh Kanakaraj and his LCU. But he turned down this proposal and went to another films, like Leo and Coolie.

In the recent past, Lokesh has not been able to deliver a proper film that worked brilliantly with the audience and also at the ticket counters. Subsequently, the hype on his LCU has gone down significantly.

It has now reached a point where not many people are excited about the prospect of Lokesh coming up with a new film, and this is a concerning aspect for him.

In the meanwhile, Lokesh recently announced a new film, where he himself face a hero and some other film maker is directing it. It appears that Lokesh has decided to become a main lead in films and has taken a break from direction briefly.

It must also be noted that Lokesh is also producing a film titled Benz, which reportedly belongs to the LCU, and this is another attempt from him without his directorial supervision.

While many Tamil audience are excited about the prospect of LCU, it appears that Lokesh is completely avoiding it and pursuing other avenues, which is not what was expected from him in the first place.
