After Coolie Failure, What Next From Lokesh Kanagaraj?

It is already known that extremely talented Tamil film maker Lokesh Kanagaraj came up with a disappointing film with superstar Rajinikanth with his latest film Coolie. This film is easily the weakest work from Lokesh till now, and it expectedly failed to create the right impact at the box office.

Despite a strong start at the box office, this film slowed down considerably after the opening weekend, and it is now turning out to be a loss venture in most areas.

However, this does not mean that things are not going to get any more tricky or bad for Lokesh as he has multiple projects in the discussion and execution stage now.

Lokesh was able to exit Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan with a superhero idea, and this project is likely to be happening in the near future based on the availability of the two of them. Apart from that, there is this sequel for Khaithi.

There is also the LCU film with Suriya in the form of Rolex, which could be happening in the near future based on the finalisation of the script. And also, there are reports that Lokesh has the approval of Thalapathy Vijay to work on a potential collaboration in the future.

So, despite the failure of this Rajinikanth film, it needs to be said that Lokesh is still in top spot as he has multiple projects to his name and could be materialising a superstar film in the near future.

But the real challenge is going to be making a strong comeback after a mediocre Coolie. Lokesh needs to reinvent himself as a writer and come up with winning stuff this time around.
