Lokesh Fails To Reach His Own Standards With 'Coolie'!

After a long wait, the title revelation glimpse of superstar Rajnikanth's upcoming film with crazy director Lokesh Kanagaraj is out. The title has been announced as 'Coolie' and it is Rajni's 171st movie. While Rajni's look, trademark dialogues and ever-charming laugh have pleased the fans, the regular audience claim that it is not as good as everyone expected it to be.

Having a title revelation video is quite common for every Lokesh Kanagaraj film. The way he introduced us to Kamal Hassan in 'Vikram' title video is astonishing. We see him hiding weapons all over his house and preparing food alongside as well. We see masked men enter his house and Vikram aka Kamal attacks them while they are having their food. Kamal says, “Ika Modaledathama” which became quite popular.

In the 'Leo' title video too, we get to see Vijay preparing hot chocolate and a sword at the same time. He dips a burning hot sword in chocolate and tastes it. He says 'Bloody Sweet' which became a huge trend. These two videos set the standards so high and people expected something more amazing when you have superstar Rajnikanth as the hero.

But the title revelation video of 'Coolie' did not live up to its hype. Though it was presented well in black and white while highlighting all the gold objects, it did not give you the high. Anirudh's addictive background score which worked for 'Vikram' and 'Leo' was nowhere to be seen in 'Coolie'. On the whole, people who expected more from Lokesh Kanagaraj were disappointed as Rajni was introduced in a subdued way compared to his previous flicks. Let us see if their opinion changes when the songs and trailer come out or not.
