Madhavan Admits Others Deserved Fame More Than Him

R. Madhavan has once again shown why fans admire him beyond the screen. While talking about his new film Aap Jaisa Koi, he said something that surprised many. For him, awards don�t matter. What matters is the respect and love of people who have followed him through the years. He called that the biggest reward of his life.

Madhavan said clearly that there are many actors in the industry who deserved more recognition than him. He even gave the example of Dilip Kumar, a legend who never received a National Award despite giving unforgettable films. According to him, this itself shows that awards cannot decide the value of an actor. �Being remembered and still getting good roles is enough,� he said with a smile.

He also spoke about how he never plays it safe when choosing films. One year he can be a dark villain like in Shaitan, and in another, a soft lover as in Aap Jaisa Koi. He doesn�t think about how fans will react. What drives him is honesty in performance, and he believes audiences always connect to that.

To explain further, he pointed to Amitabh Bachchan�s early career, where the superstar jumped from sensitive roles like Abhiman to the angry cop in Zanjeer within the same year. Madhavan said he wants to follow the same path ,to keep surprising, to never be boxed into one role. For him, that is real success, not any trophy kept in a cupboard.
