Mahesh To Go In Peddi's Way, Not Buchi's Way

With director Buchi Babu Sana earlier commenting that he would like to direct Superstar Mahesh after the release of “Peddi”, it’s widely believed that he might have already narrated a story to the Varanasi star. But then, the director has only readied a storyline, and before pitching it to Mahesh, it should be completely developed. However, there’s another talk being heard now.

Apparently, Mahesh Babu might not go Buchi’s way, but surely he is going Peddi’s way. Apparently, director Anil Ravipudi is said to have narrated a sports drama to Mahesh Babu, where the star will be seen in a coach avatar. After Mahesh wraps Varanasi, the film being carved by SS Rajamouli, he will be focusing on this project. In the meantime, Anil Ravipudi will also wrap his next film with Venkatesh and Kalyanram, which is eyeing a Sankranthi 2027 release. Once these two get free of their current commitments, they will join forces for the second time, after they have delivered a blockbuster with Sarileru Neekevvaru earlier.

That means, Mahesh will be doing a sports drama like Peddi, but not with the Peddi director. However, by the time Varanasi releases and hits cinemas, Mahesh's box office potential and his ability to reach a pan-world audience will change. At that time, a movie with Anil Ravipudi, whose films work only inside the borders of Telugu states, might be a small film for him. We have to see how the equations after Varanasi will allow him to do certain films and not do some movies.
