Mahesh’s Next: Confusion Clouds Everywhere

What’s his next film after “Varanasi” is the biggest question when it comes to Superstar Mahesh Babu. Earlier, the likes of KS Bobby and others claimed that they had narrated a film to the leading star. Then came Peddi fame Buchi Babu, who announced that he had already written a story for the Khaleja actor. Joining this list is Anil Ravipudi, as rumours popped up that he’s ready with a script for an immediate entertainer with Mahesh.

However, the big question is, after doing an international-standard film with a director like SS Rajamouli, what story and filmmaker should Mahesh pick up for his next? Definitely, he should pick up a project being directed by a pan-Indian filmmaker, or a film being rolled by a big corporate giant, to make sure that his next will match the scale and fame of Varanasi. Otherwise, if he keeps doing some films with Telugu directors that cater to Telugu states, surely it becomes another Peddi, where the film ran in Telugu states but failed outside.

For the same reason, there are confusion clouds everywhere right now about Mahesh Babu’s next and the star hero is also getting similar feelings. He’s said to be talking to some of his close friends in the industry and taking advice about what he should do for his next; however, the clarity is yet to come. For now, some of the biggest directors of the country are quite busy with their next 2-3 projects, so Mahesh selecting his next director will be a big adventure now.
