Mahesh Babu is once again making headlines, but this time it is not because of his upcoming film. The superstar is now in the news because he is reportedly skipping the pre-release event of Srinivasa Mangapuram, a film directed by Ajay Bhupathi.

The movie stars Jaya Krishna, the son of late Ramesh Babu, in the lead role. Rasha Thadani plays the female lead. Since Jaya Krishna is Mahesh Babu's nephew, many fans expected the superstar to attend the event and bless the young actor on his important day.

However, reports now say that Mahesh Babu will not be attending the function. According to sources, he is following an agreement connected to his upcoming film Varanasi. The reported agreement is said to stop him from making public appearances until the movie is released.

This explanation has created fresh discussions in the film industry. Many people feel that such a rule sounds unusual, especially when the event is for a close family member. They believe attending his nephew's film event should not affect his professional commitments.

Some industry observers also feel that director S. S. Rajamouli, who is working with Mahesh Babu on Varanasi, would not object if the actor attended a family function. Because of this, many are wondering if there is another reason behind Mahesh Babu's absence.

An insider reportedly said, "Something or someone else must be stopping him." However, this remains only speculation, and there is no official confirmation about it.

The situation has also brought back memories of Mahesh Babu's connection with director Ajay Bhupathi. In the past, Ajay Bhupathi had openly said that Mahesh Babu appreciated his work and even told him that they would work together someday. That statement had raised hopes among fans that the two would eventually join hands for a film.

Now, with Mahesh Babu reportedly missing an event directed by Ajay Bhupathi—and that too for his own nephew's debut project—fans are asking many questions. Is the reason really the Varanasi agreement, or does Mahesh Babu simply want to avoid public appearances? Could there be another reason that has not yet come out?

As of now, neither Mahesh Babu nor his team has issued any official statement. Until then, all the discussions remain speculation, while fans continue to wait for the real reason behind his decision.
