After Yash Toxic, Mahesh Babu Chooses Same Path

Female directors are getting more opportunities in Indian cinema. Recently, Yash worked with director Geetu Mohandas for the pan-India film Toxic. However, the film did not meet expectations and became a major disappointment at the box office. This has once again raised questions about whether big stars should take such risks.

Now, Superstar Mahesh Babu is also reportedly considering a film with a female director. After completing his upcoming pan-India film Varanasi, Mahesh is said to be in talks for a project with director Sudha Kongara.

Sudha Kongara is a respected filmmaker who has made successful films in the past. Her movies have received good appreciation for their stories and performances. She has also worked with some of the biggest names in South Indian cinema. Because of this, expectations are high whenever her next project is discussed.

Interestingly, Mahesh Babu and Sudha Kongara have had discussions earlier as well. Music director G.V. Prakash Kumar recently revealed that Sudha had prepared a story for Vijay. However, the project did not move forward because Vijay had other commitments. Later, Sudha reportedly narrated the same story to Mahesh Babu. That project also did not materialise at that time.

Now, reports suggest that the Mahesh Babu-Sudha Kongara combination could finally happen after Varanasi. This would be an important project for both of them, especially if it is planned as a pan-India movie.

Mahesh Babu has recently faced mixed results, while some of his recent films have not reached the expected level. Therefore, his next choice will be closely watched. Sudha Kongara has the talent to deliver a strong film, but the big question is whether she can give Mahesh Babu a much-needed blockbuster. The answer will be known only when the project officially takes shape.
