The collaboration of superstar Mahesh Babu and master storyteller SS Rajamouli is already making waves, even before the cameras roll in full swing. The project, rumored to be titled Gen 63, is being designed on a global scale with Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran joining the lead cast. The next leg of shooting is expected to begin in September across stunning African locations, Nairobi, Tanzania, and South Africa. Fans are already calling this film India’s biggest international adventure.

Now, the latest buzz has taken the hype to another level. Reports suggest that none other than Hollywood legend James Cameron might unveil the first look of Gen 63. Cameron is expected to visit India later this year for the promotion of his upcoming movie Avatar: Fire and Ash. Rajamouli reportedly feels that if Cameron releases the first glimpse of Mahesh Babu’s film, it would instantly give the project worldwide attention. Though there is no official confirmation, the very idea has left fans thrilled.

It is no secret that Rajamouli and James Cameron share mutual admiration. The two met at an international award ceremony in 2023, where Cameron openly praised RRR for its grand vision and storytelling. That meeting seems to have planted the seed for a possible collaboration of sorts. If this plan works out, it will be a first-of-its-kind moment for Indian cinema.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu remains tight-lipped about the project, while Rajamouli has promised to reveal solid updates by November. With James Cameron in the mix, expectations have doubled. If Gen 63 first look is truly unveiled by the director of Avatar, it could set the stage for one of the most globally anticipated Indian films ever made.
