'Kalki 2898 AD' is a high-concept film backed by a very strong acting team. Along with Prabhas who plays the lead, we have legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan playing key roles in this movie while Deepika Padukone is a part of it as well along with many surprising cameos. The second trailer made it clear that young actress Malavika Nair is also a part of this magnum opus.

Nag Ashwin made three films till date and Malavika is the heroine in Nagi's debut directorial 'Evade Subramanyam'. She is a very talented artist who doesn't do glamour shows but never disappoints in terms of her performance. Nagi gave Malavika Nair a guest role in 'Mahanati' as well. Insiders say that she plays a pivotal role in this movie even though her screen time is less in 'Kalki 2898 AD'.

Apparently, she plays the role of Uttara in Mahabharata and we know that the baby in her womb dies due to Ashwatthama. Malavika is the only heroine to feature in all Nag Ashwin's films along with Vijay Deverakonda if he appears in 'Kalki 2898 AD'. His presence is going to be a surprise as per reports. As we know, she is the heroine in 'Anni Manchi Sakunamule' which was produced under the Swapna Cinema banner.

Nag Ashwin trusted her acting talent and many say that it was him who recommended Malavika as the heroine in Nandini Reddy's film. We need to see if Kalki gives Malavika a big break. The last four films of the actress did not become successful. We need to see if being in a Prabhas film helps her career in any way or not.
