Prabhas' Heroine Rides A Buffalo For 'Thangalaan'!

Versatile hero Vikram and acclaimed director Pa. Ranjith have teamed up to make an intense period drama titled 'Thangalaan' which is releasing on 15th August. Set in Kolar Gold Fields, the movie is expected to be raw and hard-hitting. The trailer made it clear that is going to be the story of a ruthless tribe and Chiyaan Vikram is seen as their leader. Parvathy Thiruvothu will be seen as his wife.

The biggest surprise package was Malavika Mohanan. The Malayali beauty is playing a negative role and her look was quite astonishing. Talking about her role and experience of shooting for this flick, the 'Raja Saab' actress shared an interesting incident on the sets. She said, “One day, I was getting ready for the shoot, and suddenly, I saw a big buffalo on the set. Ranjith sir looked at me and asked if I liked that buffalo. I said it was a nice buffalo. He asked me to go and sit on it.”

She added, “I thought he was telling me a joke. Again, he asked me to sit on it. I told him that I never sat on a buffalo. Finally, I went and sat on it. Ranjith sir didn't tell me about that scene in advance. Hence, I was taken aback. If you think this is crazy, then you are wrong. That is the beginning of madness, and you will understand it when you watch the film.”

Pasupathi, Harikrishnan Anbudurai & Preeti Karan, Muthukumar and others play the main roles in this movie while KE Gnanavel Raja produced this movie under the Studio Green banner. Tamil Praba is the co-writer while Axhagiya Periyavan penned the dialogues. A Kishor Kumar is the director of photography while Selva RK is the editor. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer for this movie.
