The trailer introduces Suriya as Sanjay Vishwanath, a man in his 40s who is a pistol-shooting champion. He is trying to make a comeback when his family faces a serious situation involving his son’s bone marrow transplant.
During his search for a suitable donor, Sanjay meets Maddy, played by Mamitha Baiju. She is shown as a young and free-spirited woman. At first, Sanjay behaves like a mentor towards her and advises her to stay within her limits. However, Maddy slowly develops strong feelings for him.
The trailer shows Maddy openly expressing her love for Sanjay. Their age difference and the difficult situation around Sanjay’s family make the relationship complicated. This unusual romantic angle has created curiosity among movie lovers.
Raveena Tandon is also seen in the trailer, and reports suggest that she could be playing the role of Sanjay’s estranged wife. The trailer also includes a reference to actress Jyotika, which caught the attention of many fans.
Vishwanath and Sons is written and directed by Venky Atluri. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are producing the film under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. G. V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 14, 2026.
