Back in 2024, when the film “Premalu” has hit cinemas, Mamitha Baiju became a sensation of sorts in Telugu cinema as well as Tamil movies. Taking that advantage, Mamitha has paused doing Malayalam movies, and acted in a string of Tamil films. Though her next film Viswanath & Sons is a Telugu film, the reality is that it is a Tamil movie only, made in Tamil, dubbed into Telugu. Here’s why this film is important for the actress.

Except for Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude movie, no other Tamil film worked for Mamitha Baiju, thus causing a bit of a shock to her. Except “Dude”, her three other Tamil films, including the latest Jana Nayagan, Dhanush’s Kara and GV Prakash’s Rebel, haven’t even clicked. That’s why Suriya’s film is very important for her career. Viswanath and Sons should work at any cost. Otherwise, she might not bag big offers in Tamil, while small heroes will surely approach her.

On the Telugu front, while Dude and Viswanath & Sons are seen as her Telugu movies too, many are wondering why she hasn’t signed a pure and direct Telugu film so far. Even after she got lots of attention, craze and following here, she opted out of some movies like Anil Ravipudi’s next and Chiranjeevi’s next for reasons unknown.
