While her debut film Devaki Nandana Vasudeva hasn’t done much for her career, the Telugu Miss India winner proved her acting mettle with this year’s Valentine's Day treat “Couple Friendly”. Standing alongside a good performer like Santosh Soban, she has sometimes dominated him too. So what’s next for her?

Apparently, Manasa Varanasi is a Telugu girl who proved her talent at a time when Malayalam, Tamil and Mumbai girls were ruling Tollywood. Now that she has done lots of glamour in the Miss India pageant and proved her mettle as an actress as well, she has two routes to take up. If she could do glamorous and big-ticket projects, she could become another Telugu starlet like Sreeleela. Or if she picks up movies quite aesthetically, and does only good scripts, she might end up as Colours Swathi.

Which way this Telugu girl will go is something we have to see now, whether the Sreeleela way or the Swathi way. Rather than doing art films, her admirers wish her to become the next Sreeleela of Tollywood as there is a severe shortage of Telugu starlets in the Telugu industry right now.
