By: Tupaki Desk | 9 July 2025 1:15 PM ISTAt the pre-release event of Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama, actor Manchu Manoj spoke openly about the film industry and the importance of hard work over family background. The film, starring Suhas and Malavika Manoj and directed by Ram Godala, is set to release on July 11. Manoj, who was the chief guest, praised Suhas for rising from YouTube to becoming a lead actor, saying today’s youth can learn from his journey.
Manoj said being from a film family might help you enter, but it doesn’t guarantee success. He admitted that despite having Mohan Babu as a father, he didn’t find consistent success. He added that Suhas, like Vijay Sethupathi, plays both lead and character roles without making noise about it, and that kind of approach deserves respect. “A film is a film, big or small,” he said, stressing that effort matters more than labels.
His comments come at a time when nepotism in cinema continues to be discussed. Manoj pointed out that not all star kids become stars and gave examples like SV Ranga Rao’s grandson or some of NTR’s children. On the other hand, actors like Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, and Nani built their careers without any support.
With Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama releasing soon, Suhas is hoping to grow further as an actor. Manoj’s words added weight to the event, especially since it’s rare to see actors from film families openly acknowledge these realities. It wasn’t just a speech it was a reminder that staying in the game takes more than just a famous name.
