OTT Recommendation: This Netflix Title Is For Drama Lovers!

The verity space has been running high and dry with lack of adequate options for the OTT audience, and we finally have a new outing on Netflix and here’s a look into the same.

Mandala Murders is a new Hindi crime-thriller series streaming on Netflix. Set in the eerie, fictional town of Charandaspur in Uttar Pradesh, the show follows CIB officer Rea Thomas, played by Vaani Kapoor, who is assigned to investigate a series of brutal and mysterious murders.

These killings have a ritualistic pattern and seem connected to a cult-like conspiracy. As Rea digs deeper, she uncovers disturbing secrets, dark folklore, and a web of deceit that stretches far beyond the town’s borders.

The show tries to blend crime investigation with psychological horror and occult elements. While the plot has an intriguing setup, the storytelling often feels slow and stretched.

Some episodes struggle with pacing, and the writing occasionally becomes confusing due to multiple subplots and timelines. However, the cinematography, production design, and eerie atmosphere are impressive and help set a dark, suspenseful tone.

Vaani Kapoor delivers a committed performance, and the supporting cast does a decent job. The show ends on a cliffhanger, setting up for a possible second season.

Though Mandala Murders doesn’t fully deliver on its potential, it offers enough intrigue for fans of dark thrillers and slow-burn mysteries. It’s a decent watch for those who enjoy layered storytelling with a supernatural twist.
