But at the same time, if the director is out of firm, then no other star Hero would be ready to work with him in the near future. The same could be understood from the current situation of Tamil veteran Director Mani Ratnam, who made a comeback with Ponniyin Selvan.
But with the recent film from Maniratnam, Thug Life becoming a disaster at the box office. It is now being established that no star Hero is ready to work with him in the near future.
In this context, it is now being established that the vet and Director is going after a young actor to direct his next film. The actor in question here is the youngster, Dhruv Vikram.
While there is no doubting the talent of this youngster, he is not quite in the star League for a veteran director like Maniratnam to propose a project at this point in time.
But considering the fact that Maniratnam himself is not in a great position to grab the dates of the star heroes, he is left with no other option, but to go with such youngsters. This project is likely to start with the shooting process this September and it is projected to be completed in just 60 days.
This is an interesting collaboration, considering that the veteran Director is going to work with the young hero, while the youngster will also have the luxury of grabbing crucial intelligence from the veteran filmmaker.
