Mani Sharma Moves From Top Heroes To This New Hero
The fresh update is that Mani Sharma has been picked for the BGM. And honestly, BGM is where he usually sneaks in his best work.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 1 Dec 2025 2:22 PM ISTMani Sharma, the same composer who once delivered back-to-back cult albums for stars like Superstar Mahesh Babu, Megastar Chiranjeevi, and Jr NTR, has been pretty quiet lately. A couple of his recent albums didn’t land well, and he didn’t really bag any big films this year. Just a few scattered songs here and there. So, in a way, he seems to be restarting things again, this time by joining Sudheer Babu’s upcoming film for the background score.
Sudheer Babu is gearing up with a film titled G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time). Mogul Chandrasekhar is producing it, and Divya Bharathi plays the female lead. The movie has a cricket backdrop with a comedy flavour, and the team is already in post-production. A couple of weeks ago they dropped the first song Odiyamma, Leon James composed it. The response was mixed, some liked it, some didn’t, but it still clocked around 4 million views, so clearly people are watching.
The fresh update is that Mani Sharma has been picked for the BGM. And honestly, BGM is where he usually sneaks in his best work. Even when the albums don’t click, his background score somehow ends up doing the heavy lifting. Sudheer Babu getting Mani Sharma at this point feels like a good deal for him too.
And who knows, music careers swing around all the time. Even A R Rahman had a dull phase but bounced right back with Dhanush and Kriti Sanon's Tere Ishq Mein. So yeah, maybe this film turns into Mani Sharma’s small comeback window.
