Can We Just Say Melody Brahma Is Back?

In the late 90s, Mani Sharma was a sensation as a music director, and almost every star hero’s film would have only his music. Rarely did other state composers like Harris Jayaraj, Deva and others come into the picture, but then Mani Sharma outshone everyone with melodious songs, mass beats and amazing background score. That’s why he is melody brahma.

Later on, he lost that charm, and by the end of the 2010s, films like Sakthi and Rachha clicked musically, but already the likes of Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman took over the baton. Since then, Mani is out of form, not getting good films and not even composing chartbusters as well. However, Ismart Shankar brought him back on track in 2019, but nothing changed. Then in 2022, he got Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, a big chance for him, but the film’s songs failed to click.

Since then, Mani is trying for another break, and it looks like finally Chennai Love Story gave him one. His songs and background score are the major success factors in the film’s box office performance. We can simply say that Melody Brahma is back, but then, the future depends on how many more blockbusters he will deliver next.
