His brilliant songs and terrific background scores over the past three decades speak volumes about the legacy he created. He worked with every hero in Tollywood and gave super hit music in Tamil as well. He developed a huge fanbase over the years and his songs are still ruling the playlists of many music lovers.
As we know, Mani gave music for 11 movies of Mahesh Babu and all of them had great songs. The music was fantastic in their combination and Mani Sharma played a key role in the success of movies like 'Murari', 'Okkadu', 'Pokiri' and others. Even 'Khaleja' had wonderful background scores and songs but they never worked together again for some reason.
In a recent interview, Mani Sharma spoke about Mahesh and said, “#Maheshbabu is my little brother. He believed in me a lot, and I kept that belief until our last film. But I don't know what happened; he never called me after our last film.”
Mani Sharma gave music to Pawan Kalyan's films like 'Khushi', 'Gudumba Shankar', 'Teenmaar' and 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu'. Speaking about working with Pawan, he stated, “#Pawankalyan and I composed Cheliya Cheliya from #Kushi, and we composed all the songs in #GudumbaShankar. We both danced, sang, and enjoyed a lot while composing those songs.”
He even said, “I feel stars like Mahesh and Pawan should rotate music directors. They should also give me a chance like Devi and Thaman." Interestingly, it is not just his feeling but the wish of every fan these days.
