Mythri Bags 'Manjummel Boys' For Minimal Rate!

Mythri Movie Makers is one of the biggest production houses in Tollywood. Apart from producing many movies every year, they have entered the distribution business too. They produced some huge movies including 'Salaar', 'Hanu-Man' and others. They recently released 'Operation Valentine' in a few areas but the movie ended up as a failure.

Keeping it aside, we have seen Rajamouli's son Karthikeya getting the Telugu dubbing rights of the hit Malayalam movie 'Premalu'. It did decent business in the Telugu states considering its scale and they even had a success meet. In the same manner, Mythri Movie Makers have reportedly bought the Telugu rights of another Malayalam blockbuster 'Manjummel Boys'. This film has recently become the industry hit of Kerala film industry but the big production has reportedly got the Telugu rights for a meagre sum of 2 crores.

'Majnummel Boys' was made on a budget of 14 crores and it crossed the 100 crore mark within a few weeks of its release. Written and directed by Chidambaram, the film has Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi Poduval, Lal Jr, Deepak Parambol and others playing lead roles. It is a survival thriller which is based on true incidents which happened in 2006.
