Many films in recent times were benefited through premier shows while some faced a negative impact. Now, another movie team decided to have paid premiers but the interesting thing is that they are going to be held 18 days ahead of the movie's release. It is for Sampoornesh Babu's 'Martin Luther King'.
The makers announced that this film will be hitting the screens on 27th October. The movie is a remake of the Tamil hit flick titled 'Mandela'. Yogi Babu did the lead role in the original and it was shortlisted in the Best Foreign Film Category for the Oscars by the Indian jury. It even bagged two National Awards. With Sampoo remaking it in Telugu, there is a decent buzz on it. The teaser is also very entertaining.
The premier shows have begun in Vishakapatnam today and the next four days will have special shows in Vijayawada, Nellore, Kurnool and Warangal. The cast and crew of this film will also attend these shows and some shows will be organized in Hyderabad too ahead of the release. This is definitely a new strategy by the film's unit and we need to see if it works out or not.
