By: Shanaz B Syed | 22 Aug 2025 3:41 PM ISTRavi Teja’s landmark 75th film Mass Jathara has been the talk of Tollywood ever since the teaser dropped. The high-energy cut gave fans a rush of nostalgia and sparked chatter that the Mass Maharaja is aiming for another blockbuster on the scale of Crack. With Sreeleela as the heroine and Bhanu Bhogavarapu calling the shots, the film already carries the flavour of a commercial festival release. Backed by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, expectations are sky-high.
Originally, the film was planned as a Vinayaka Chavithi treat on August 27. But the journey hit a few bumps. Trade unions called for a bandh, halting shoots and leaving one montage song and some patchwork incomplete. The team had to wait it out before resuming work. Finally, with cameras rolling again, the makers have wrapped pending portions and fixed September 12 as the new release date. The official word is expected to arrive tomorrow.
While the postponement disappointed some fans, the buzz hasn’t slowed down. On the contrary, the delay has built more curiosity. Ravi Teja’s rugged look and Sreeileela’s lively presence have already clicked with viewers. The music and visuals hint at a mass entertainer loaded with punch lines, dances, and action blocks, everything his fans expect from a milestone film.
But September 12 won’t be an easy ride. Two other titles, Kishkinda Puri and Kantha, are lining up for the same day. This sets up a three-way clash at the box office. Trade circles are already watching closely to see which film will grab the lion’s share of screens and audience attention. For now, one thing is certain, Ravi Teja’s Mass Jatara is stepping into theatres with full firepower.
