80 Massive Sets For Kalyan Ram's Period Drama!
Apparently, more than 80 sets have been built. 90 percent of the film was shot in sets and it took one and half years to build all these sets.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram who scored a success like 'Bimbisara' had a setback like 'Amigos' this year. The 'Athanokkade' hero is currently working on an epic action tale titled 'Devil – The British Secret Agent'. The movie is being directed by Naveen Medaram and produced by Abhishek Nama under 'Abhishek Pictures' banner. The glimpse and posters which released till date generated a very positive response on the movie.
This movie with the backdrop of 1940 and the makers are spending huge budget on this movie. There are some interesting details that are coming out regarding this 'Devil'. Apparently, more than 80 sets have been built. 90 percent of the film was shot in sets and it took one and half years to build all these sets.
Art director Gandhi says that the period drama genre itself is very challenging. Getting all the materials and props (set property) from various places like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kolkata, Kerala and Rajasthan was difficult. He added that producer Abhishek Nama 's support in building all these lavish sets would not have been possible.
Some of the lavish sets include a 1940 Andhra Club set in Madras, 9 truckloads of wood, 10 vintage cycles and I vintage car during the British era, 500 books with royal British cover design, 1940 cargo ship set and a 36ft lighthouse set near Vizag sea shore, more than one thousand tons of iron, fibre and 10,000 square feet of vintage wallpapers are used.
