By: Shanaz B Syed | 31 July 2025 4:57 PM ISTAadhi Pinisetty and Chaitanya Rao Madadi star in Mayasabha, a new Telugu web series that’s catching attention for its bold political theme. Directed by Deva Katta, the show tells a fictional story inspired by real-life politicians from Andhra Pradesh.
Streaming on SonyLIV from August 7, the series asks what happens when close friends turn into political enemies. The trailer shows intense scenes, strong emotions, and power struggles rooted in the state’s past political landscape.
Aadhi assumes the role of Krishnam Naidu, a shrewd, astute leader whose personality is similar to Chandrababu Naidu's in many respects. In contrast, Chaitanya Rao transforms into MS Raja Reddy, a fierce and unafraid character who was influenced by Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. The actual drama takes place on their path from close comrades to fierce enemies.
Sai Kumar, a strong character who immediately reminds one of N. T. Rama Rao, adds weight to the story. The show delves deeply into the emotional fallout between once-trusted allies who have become political enemies, rather than merely acknowledging the past. Mayasabha does not hold back as it transforms genuine political tension into an engrossing story of ambition, treachery, and power.
