Both the films have opened well at the box office, and here is a look at the box office projection of the same.
Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, opened to a thunderous response across India and overseas. This brought its opening weekend total in India to ₹44.5 crore net, with worldwide gross collections reaching nearly ₹83 crore.
The film’s multilingual release strategy, backed by strong promotions and positive reviews, has clearly paid off. Trade analysts note that the film is not just performing well in Telugu states but also holding strongly in Hindi and Tamil belts, giving it a pan-India appeal.
In contrast, Kishkindhapuri, featuring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, had a modest but steady start. It earned about ₹2 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹2.8 crore on Day 2, showing a 32% growth. While exact Day 3 figures are not yet available, early trade signals suggest that word of mouth is helping the film pick up momentum, especially in mass circuits.
Overall, Mirai emerged as the big winner of the weekend with record numbers, while Kishkindhapuri is slowly building its base through positive audience response.
Now the stage is set for the big release of Pawan Kalyan’s OG on September 25, and that this film is expected to rewrite many box office records, domestically and also overseas.
