When Mohan Babu Asked His Name to Come Before Chiranjeevi in Titles

Writer and director Kanagala Jayakumar recently in an interview spoke about a incident involving legendary actors Mohan Babu and Chiranjeevi.

While talking about the incident, he explained how Mohan Babu once strongly expressed his opinion about title credits in a film. He said, "I am senior to Chiranjeevi and my name should come first. After my name then Chiranjeevi’s name should be written."

He further shared that Mohan Babu told the person handling the titles, "You are the one writing the titles, right? Then you write it. First write my name and then write Chiranjeevi’s name."

He explained that he responded carefully in that situation. He said, "Okay, but we need to inform the producer, right?" To this, Mohan Babu replied, "Yes, tell him, but write my name first."

When the matter was taken to the producer Kranthi Kumar, the reaction was quite strong. Jayakumar recalled the producer saying, "After spending so much money on the film, do you think we will write titles as someone wishes?"

Jayakumar also described Kranthi Kumar as a person with a strong personality and quick temper. At the same time, he mentioned that Kranthi Kumar had a lot of affection for Chiranjeevi. Whenever Chiranjeevi came to meet him, he would greet him warmly and respectfully.
