Dacoit Gave Me New Space To Explore: Mrunal

Adivi Sesh’s love-and-action drama Dacoit is inching closer to its April 10th release, and the movie has generated solid buzz with its songs, teaser, and trailer.

Mrunal Thakur, who plays a key role as the leading lady, says she thoroughly enjoyed portraying a challenging character in Dacoit. “It’s a very different role in my career and belongs to a genre I haven’t explored before. I’m confident the audience will love it. I even performed some of the stunts myself.”

The actress affirms that she always likes to experiment and surprise herself. “This film gave me that new space. I love doing films that offer new emotions and characters I haven’t done before. Dacoit is one such fresh genre film.”

She adds that Sesh has delivered a standout performance. “I want people to come to theatres and watch this film for Sesh. He has taken up a very new kind of character. This will be one of his best films. Working with Sesh, Anurag Kashyap, and Prakash Raj was a wonderful experience.”

Mrunal is also full of praise for producer Supriya Yarlagadda. “Supriya is a wonderful producer. Once, I was supposed to fly from Mumbai to Hyderabad for a shoot, but I had a fever. She immediately postponed the schedule by two days after learning about my health. I’ve never seen a producer who cares so much about the well-being of her actors.”

She says that Dacoit will surprise everyone with its Hollywood-style storytelling.
