By: Shanaz B Syed | 21 Nov 2025 12:30 PM ISTMrunal Thakur started out on TV when she was just 20. She did shows like Mujhse Kuch Kehte… Yeh Khamoshiyaan and a bunch of others. For about five years, until 2017, she was doing serials non-stop. She tried Bollywood films too, but nothing really clicked.
Her big break came much later, with her Telugu debut Sita Ramam. She played Sita Mahalakshmi/Noor Jahan, and people started noticing her, not just in Tollywood, but Bollywood eyes turned too. Now, after more than a decade, she has a bunch of films lined up. Two big Telugu ones: Dacoit: A Love Story with Adivi Sesh, and rumors say she’s also part of Allu Arjun’s big-budget AA22xA6, directed by Atlee. Plus, a couple of Hindi films too.
Before all this, she had her share of tough moments. She recalled one time when things were rough, and her relatives wouldn’t even let her mom sit with them in the car. Fast forward to today, and she owns a few cars, a Honda Accord, a Toyota Fortuner, and a Mercedes-Benz S-4540. Fun fact: she’s the first woman in her whole family to own such a big car.
Her journey? Totally inspiring. Lots of Indian girls will see this and think, “I want to make my parents proud too.”
