Mystery Thriller Is The New Success Formula!

Following a successful trend is quite common in the film industry. There is a new emerging trend in Tollywood which is proving to be successful and it is the mystery thriller genre. People seem to have developed a new liking for these films. They are not horror films but have a lot of mystery, thrills and twists which are required to excite the audience.

It all started with 'Kantara' which was released last year and became a huge blockbuster across the nation. Following its footsteps, a lot of movie makers are coming up with thrillers set in a rural backdrop that are surrounded by mystery. 'Virupakha' which became a super hit in Tollywood is the best example of it. The film stood out as the biggest hit in Sai Dharam Tej's career.

Now, they are planning to come up with a second part as well. Continuing with the same trend, 'Maa Oori Polimera 2' came into theatres recently and collected good money. While the first part was released on the OTT platform and became a big hit, the second part managed to bring people to theatres. These movies had a lot of lot of gore, violence and bloodshed too but the audience still liked them a lot.

They are planning a third part for it as well. The recent release 'Mangalavaram' too is getting a very good talk. Ajay Bhupati impressed big time with this mystery thriller. The twists in the last thirty minutes stunned the audience and they were impressed by this film a lot. The combination of Ajay Bhupati and Payal Rajput scored another hit after 'RX100'. The next mystery thriller to arrive is 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona' which stars Sundeep Kishan, Varsha Bollamma and Kavya Thapar in the main roles. VI Anand who made 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' is directing this flick.
