Fake casting calls and impersonation scams are becoming a serious problem in the Indian film industry. Many well-known production houses are now warning the public to stay alert, as fraudsters are misusing famous names to cheat people. These scams mostly target aspiring actors by promising film roles and asking for money or personal details.

Recently, leading Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers issued a strong warning on social media. The company said that an unknown person is falsely using the name of its producer, Naveen Yerneni, to approach people under false pretenses. The fraudster is reportedly using a phone number and a fake Instagram account to pretend as the producer. Mythri Movie Makers clearly stated that this person has no connection with them and requested everyone to report the fake number and account. The production house also reminded the public that all official announcements will come only from its verified handle.

This is not the first time Mythri Movie Makers has raised such an alert. Earlier, the company warned people about fake casting agents claiming to represent them. The production house clarified that all genuine casting calls are announced only through their official social media pages and not through third parties.

Several other film companies have faced similar issues. Kamal Haasan’s production firm, Raaj Kamal Films International, clarified that it has not hired any casting agents and warned people not to trust fake messages or emails. Director Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions and Wunderbar Films, owned by actor Dhanush also issued warnings against fake audition calls.

Actors like Sibi Sathyaraj have personally alerted fans about fake casting posters using their names. The film industry is urging aspiring artists to be cautious, verify information only through official sources and never pay money for casting opportunities. Staying alert is the best way to avoid falling into such traps.
