Mythri Movie Makers Betting On 'Manjummel Boys'!

The one Malayalam film about whom everyone are talking right now is 'Manjummel Boys'. This survival thriller is inspired by a real event that occurred back in 2006. It shows how the boys from Kochi made history and this film collected over 200 crores making it the biggest Malayalam film till date. The film received a landslide reception from other language audiences as well. Written and directed by Chidambaram, the film has Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi Poduval, Lal Jr, Deepak Parambol and others playing lead roles.

Mythri Movie Makers have bought the theatrical rights for the Telugu dubbed version and they are releasing it on a grand scale on 6th April. With 'Goat Life' not getting the desired result due to the simultaneous release with 'Tillu Square', the makers decided to release it on Saturday so that they can avoid the competition with 'Family Star'. Malayalam films are getting good reception in Telugu states and 'Premalu' is the biggest example of it.

But the Sitara Entertainments banner had a lot of confidence in 'Bramayugam' which did not work out. It was a horror drama revolving around three characters. SS Karthikeya's decision to dub 'Premalu' worked out as it was a rom-com. 'Manjummel Boys' is a serious film and it has 'Family Star' and 'Tillu Square' running well in theatres right now.

Nonetheless, Mythri Movie Makers are pinning hopes on this movie and we need to see how things turn out.
