However, director Nag Ashwin has now clarified the situation. He said that the rumors about Sai Pallavi being cast in Kalki 2 are not true at the moment. He also confirmed that the character Sumathi is very important to the story and will not be removed from the film. This statement has put an end to many rumors circulating online.
Nag Ashwin further revealed that a portion of the work on Kalki 2 has already been completed. He said that the film’s shooting is expected to continue in a non-stop manner from September. Fans are eagerly waiting for more official updates from the makers.
Meanwhile,from a few days it has been suggested that Sai Pallavi could make a return to Tollywood in Kalki 2898 AD Part 2. According to industry sources, the filmmakers may announce her involvement at the right time. The source claimed that the role would be powerful and performance-oriented, making it suitable for Sai Pallavi’s acting style.
