Naga Babu Breathes Fire At Shivaji’s Comments!

Mega brother Naga Babu has strongly responded to actor Shivaji’s remarks in the wake of the entire cinema world going into turmoil after the latter reiterated that his intention is right in asking every girl to wear a saree at public events. This led to a huge debate, and Naga Babu’s retort is likely to give it more political spin.

Taking a firm stand, Naga Babu criticized the concept of moral policing and reiterated that personal choice in clothing is a fundamental right protected under the Indian Constitution. “Women’s choice of clothing is a personal right. Moral policing is against the Constitution. These days, every person, from an illiterate to a pundit, to actors like Shivaji are busy advising women what to do, which is unnecessary and anti-constitutional,” he explained.

He stressed multiple times that Indian courts have ruled moral policing unconstitutional because it infringes upon core fundamental rights. According to Naga Babu, actions that judge or restrict a woman’s attire violate essential freedoms guaranteed under Article 14 (Equality), Article 19 (Freedom), and Article 21 (Right to Life and Personal Liberty) of the Constitution. “Freedom, dignity, privacy, and equality are not just legal terms; they are rights upheld by the judiciary,” he added.
