Chay Heads To Gujarat For Next Film

Fresh off celebrating his brother Akhil Akkineni’s wedding, Naga Chaitanya is back to business. He’s working on a new thriller directed by Karthik Varma Dandu. The team recently shot some important scenes on a specially built cave set in Hyderabad.

Now, the crew is heading to Gujarat for the next schedule, set to begin later this month. Some major portions will be filmed there, featuring Chaitanya and other key actors. The shift in location is expected to bring a raw, different energy to the film.

There’s buzz that Meenakshi Chaudhary is the female lead, though the makers haven’t confirmed it yet. The film is backed by BVSN Prasad and B. Sukumar, with Bapineedu presenting. It’s aiming for a summer 2026 release.

Chaitanya’s recent choices show a move toward layered roles and unusual genres. This thriller, with its spiritual and mysterious tone, could mark another shift in his film journey.
