Naga Chaitanya Slams Konda Surekha's Divorce Allegations

Naga Chaitanya recently responded to claims made by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha regarding his divorce from actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Surekha alleged that political figures played a role in the couple’s separation, but Chaitanya firmly rejected these claims, calling them "ridiculous" and baseless.

In a social media post, Naga Chaitanya expressed his disappointment over the ongoing gossip about his personal life. He emphasized that his divorce from Samantha was a mutual decision made with respect and maturity. He stated, “Divorce is one of the most painful decisions in life. After much thought, both of us chose to part ways peacefully, due to different life goals." Chaitanya also mentioned that, despite various rumors, he had chosen to remain silent out of respect for his former spouse and family.

Chaitanya strongly condemned Surekha’s comments, which linked their divorce to political reasons. He criticized the minister for exploiting their personal matter for media attention. In his post, Chaitanya said, “Minister Konda Surekha’s claims are not only false but completely unacceptable. Using someone’s private life for political or media gain is shameful and hurts the individuals involved.”

Samantha also addressed the controversy, sharing her views on Instagram. She wrote, “As a woman in the entertainment industry, facing challenges and criticisms is common, but my divorce is a personal matter. It was a mutual and amicable decision with no involvement of political conspiracies.” Samantha urged people to respect her privacy and refrain from speculating about the reasons for their separation.

Surekha had previously claimed that Samantha’s divorce was linked to her refusal of a political favor involving BRS leader KT Rama Rao. However, both Naga Chaitanya and Samantha have made it clear that their separation was a personal decision, free from any political involvement.
