What Naga Vamsi Said About Ticket Price Issue?

Leading producer in Telugu cinema, Naga Vamsi is currently awaiting the theatrical release of his upcoming production venture Daku Maharaj, which has Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. Ahead of the film’s release Vamsi has been actively interacting with the media.

In one search, latest conversation with the Telugu media, Vamsi was asked about the ongoing issue with the ticket prices. When asked to comment on the recent backlash from the audience, that producers are exploiting film audience by massively hiking, the prices here is what Vamsi said.

Vamsi said the ticket prices are largely subjective to the content of the film, and also the kind of expenditures that went into the same.

“A producer will seek as much hike as he deem fit for his expenditure. In the case of Devara, I bought the distribution rights, and I went for adequate ticket, hikes that are in accordance with my expenditures. I feel the same happened with the second part of Pushpa as well. Mythri went for as much hike as they deemed fit. At the end of the day, it is the content and the expenditure that dictates the ticket prices. No producer wants to hurt and exploit film audience.”

About the upcoming Balakrishna film, Vamsi said this is going to be one of the hallmark films in Balayya career. He commented that the film is loaded with elevation episodes and particularly the elevation block that covers Balayya transformation into a dacoit will be a massive highlight.

About a possible film with mega Star Chiranjeevi producer, Vamsi said he loves the comedy timing of Chiru and added that he wishes to make a proper comedy film with Chiranjeevi one day.
