By: Tupaki Desk | 20 July 2025 2:55 PM ISTProducer Naga Vamsi is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda. As the film's release nears, Naga Vamsi has been actively involved in its promotions. In a recent interview, he shared some interesting insights into the film industry.
It’s well-known that during the Sankranti season, star heroes and big-budget films tend to dominate the Telugu film industry. However, Naga Vamsi has a different perspective. He expressed his views stating the importance of reconsidering the practice of releasing only major films during this time.
According to Naga Vamsi, "There’s no problem with big films releasing at any time of the year. Films like Devara, Kalki, and Pushpa have been successful even in off-seasons. Therefore, there’s no need to wait for Sankranti for star-studded and big-budget films."
He believes that the Sankranti period, traditionally known for big film releases, could be an opportunity for medium and small budget films. He explained, "Instead of having only big films during Sankranti, it would be more beneficial to offer these dates to medium or small-budget films. This way even if the movie is good, it can run for at least three to four days, recovering its budget quickly."
