In some recent interviews, producer Naga Vamsi has openly admitted that he inflates the box office numbers of his films for the sake of posters, and even stated that no producer in Tollywood will reveal the truth about their movie collections. At this juncture, it is being highly publicised about the pre-release business of Suriya’s film Viswanath & Sons is being highly publicised, which sounds highly unbelievable at the moment.

Despite being just a family film shot in the USA and India, whose production won’t even cost ₹20-30 crores, it has come out that Vamsi’s latest venture, Viswanath & Sons, is made with a staggering budget of ₹130 crores. However, what stunned is the pre-sales of the movie, which, according to reports, has already fetched ₹ 215+ crores. They say that theatrical rights for Tamil and Telugu were sold for ₹90 crores, OTT fetched ₹85 crores, audio was sold for ₹12 crores, and Satellite rights made another ₹28 crores. Is this really the magic of the film, or has Vamsi just created music, is something audiences are discussing now.

Because in recent times, Vamsi himself said that the audio market is not getting huge crores like earlier, while the satellite market is completely dead. Also, there was talk that even for big-budget films with big stars, OTTs are not offering more than ₹50 crores, and how come for a family drama like V&S, ₹90 crore will be offered? Well, most of them are saying that this is purely Vamsi’s music to promote the movie, but nothing else.
