Akkineni Nagarjuna and Akhil Akkineni might finally appear together on screen as father and son. While Akhil made his first appearance as a baby in Sisindri and later shared screen space with his father in Manam and the title song of Akhil, a full-fledged on-screen pairing has never happened. Now, strong buzz from Filmnagar suggests that their long-awaited moment could arrive with Lenin, Akhil’s upcoming film.

Directed by Murali Kishore Abbur, Lenin stars Akhil in the lead with Sreeleela as the heroine. The project is being produced by Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi. Reports say Nagarjuna is playing a key character and may appear as Akhil’s father in the story. Though no official confirmation has been made, the suggestion alone has stirred excitement among Akkineni fans.

If this casting turns out to be true, it would mark the first time Nagarjuna and Akhil portray father and son on screen, matching their real-life bond. Akhil, who recently got married, is expected to join the next schedule of the film in Tirupati. Music for the film is being composed by Thaman, and the team is aiming for a November release.
